signing off to jobless life

Hey people! I went for my interview today.. well my 1st interview so far ever since I've quitted. Man, and you probably can't believe that I'm actually starting to work tomorrow! -_-

Yesh, immediatley a day after my interview!.. I know that was really rushed for me.. I actually wanted to start work next week but he requested me to start worked the following day since I've already rested for so long... LOL. After hesistating, I've actually agreed! BUT I immediately regretted after that! That is just too fast! I gotta adjust back to my working life so soon! *SOB!

Anyway, my sis has always asked me to go to work soon. Know why? Cause the usually healthy me started falling sick since I've stopped working. First, I've actually failed for the blood test for my 2nd blood donation. My BP reading was too low and my iron was too little. Second, my woman's clock got screwed up (if you get what I mean =p)... Thrid, I got that WEIRD infection at my inner ear, and had my worst dizziness ever! Enough said for all that to happen within a month.

When I've insufficient sleep and work like a mad cow.. I do not see my body protesting in this way!

Besides my body is giving me weird signals to rush me to start working.. My spending habbit has also killed me.

Cause I so wanna go shopping! It's GSS! But I can't.. I know a jobless person is restricted to shop too much... especially people like me should be jailed and not be allowed to step into any boutiques! BUT, Who can resist when you see 'Sales SALES SALES' all over the place?!

So end of the story. I'm starting to work at my new company tomorrow. At a new place, with a new team, with new colleagues and a total foriegn working system and scope of work. Damn, I'm already feeling jittery!

But on a happy note, I'll be getting back my tiny little 'financial freedom' soon. So I'm happy about that. Haha.. =)

Lastly, I hope that this job turns out well with a much much better working hours!

Phayao Centre Farewell Presentation

Dear All,

Below are the farewell presentation that I've did. The days we spent in the centre are all recorded in this short video presentation. 2 parts in total. I've added in some text to explain the slides for the reader's understanding.

*There are some errors with the audio output. The songs is not playing in the front part, and have overlapped at the later part. -_- Tried a couple of times, it's still the same. So please pardon that. If not turn down the volume. Haha..

Just a little love commitee
That's us! Just 4 of us all from different fields. We are lucky that our organiser has wide contacts of the different centres & organisations in Asia due to his work, which given us a chance to visit Phayao centre.

Stan the organiser, staff of YMCA. Good friend of Qi and Xue. - only male
Qi the initiator & treasurer of the trip, former girl guide. Cousin of Xuan.
Xue the participant, former girl guide. Good friend of Qi and Stan.
Xuan the participant. Cousin of Qi.

The kids from Phayao are just like fallen angels to me. They might be coming from a less fortunate family backgrounds. They might be poor. They might be less educated in terms of academic. Yet they are wealthy at heart. They know how to love and care for people around them. Genuinely.

I remember we brought them out for the outing on Sunday to the town and KFC. The kids are all thrilled. Early in the morning, I saw them putting on their best clothes, all dolled up.. just to go to the town. The smiles on their faces are priceless. As traveling to town for all the kids would require them a bus and it's close to 40 mins ride from the centre, therefore the kids hardly have the chance to go there.

We brought them to their first KFC lunch party followed by a town tour. Can you believe that they had never go to KFC before? What left me a greater impresseion is that one of the questions that the kids asked frequently is: "Pi-Yi, ('Pi' is a polite way of addressing a senior and taking my last name) did you enjoy yourself?"

Serious, I didn't expect a kid to ask me that! Most of the kids would have forgotten all about you while playing. Yet the kids' concern are actually if we had also enjoyed ourselves. When there were fun, they would hold our hands and tell us. When we are taking photos of them, they would volunteer to take one for us. That is them. How sweet!

We are also glad that the centre are providing them such a condusive environment to stay in.

There are far too much to talk about them. Small little things they did that touched my heart. They had changed alot of my perceptions in life... and revive many things that have been forgotten. The smiles, laughter and tears we had there will never be forgotten. I'm sure 10 years back looking at the photos, would have still bring me the same warmth and happiness.

Alright! I know the last part is damn cheesy! Wahahaha.. But we do meant what we say. =) We love them! I do not know if I ever had a chance to go there again (although I'd love to!), but I hope they will not be put down by their less fortunate family background.. and be brave to pursue their own individual's dreams.

Take care, angels from Phayao Centre..

*PS. Sorry no original MTV for this. This is too new a song. But it's nice!

giddy spells

Well, I was at home the whole day today. Initially thought of finishing the last but of my portfolio at home. Followed by a jog in the park. I also had my hair salon appointment in the evening.. Who knows..

A giddy spells that I've never enconter before spoils all my planning! I was about to go for a jog with a little warm up at home... then suddenly, I feels that my world seems to be spinning. Yeap literally spinning! Gosh, I thought I was going to faint..

I quickly lie down, and figured out that I might be suffering from some low sugar nonsense. I grab a bar of kinder breuno and started gobbling. It doesn't help at all, and I felt very nauseous. I puked for many many times, until the lunch that I've eaten is out. My last puke was just liquid. Eeeks, that was so grossed!

After lying on bed for sometimes, I realised that my giddy spells did not become better. In fact, I can't even walked straight. What?! I'm drunk without drinking??

I've finally can't stand it anymore and I went to see a doc by myself before dinner. My head was spinning, my knees were soft and I felt really nauseous! All I want is to get to the nearest clinic ASAP. Well, I was really 'lucky'. The nearby 2 clinics near my house is closed for the day. WHAT!! -_-

And it doesn't help at all when I met this guy when I was waiting for a cab. He's in his gym attire (most probably just finish his gym at the sports stadium which is near my house). Obviously a frequent gym person in his early twenties. This is the conversation we had:

He: "Do you know where can I get good malay food?"
Me: (Looked at him with messy hair and pale face) "Nope."
He: "Don't you live nearby?"
Me: (Hesitated for a few seconds. I was wearing a PE T-shirt and shorts which looks obviously 'I lived nearby') "Eh.. nope. Sorry I really got no idea.."
He: "Alright, thanks."

Well, there's really no nice malay food nearby. But just a five minutes walk, there's a coffee shop that sells very delicious curry chicken. I did not tell him that, cause all I could think of in my mind at that time is 'I wanna puke''. Anyway, I was trying to flag a cab nearby a bus stop. When he came to me again.

He: "So is there any nice chinese food around here? I stayed at bukit batok and is my 1st time here to this gym. I wanted to look for some food, but most of the stalls in the market are closed. So please, be my food guide for the night!"
Me: (Knowing that he's not giving up. I point to the direction of the MRT station.) "There's one stall near the MRT station. Not bad for their cooked food ("chee cha" in hokkien). You can try it there."
He: "Do I have to go that far?"
Me: "It's not really far. It's just straight IN FRONT."
He: (Hesistated for a few seconds.) "hmm.. So where are you going?"
Me: "To the clinic. I'm trying to get a cab here."
He: "You mean you are sick, but I can't tell! (cheekily)"
Me: (I can't helped by laugh.) "Yeah, you usually can't tell sickness from the face. That's why I need a doctor."
He: "Orh.. so what's wrong? Need to get an MC from school?"
(Before I can answer..)
He: "Don't tell me 1st. Let me guess, let me guess.. Stomachae? Headache? Cramps? Fever?
(After getting all the negative response, he finally gave up.) So what is it?"
Me: (I rolled my eyes and laugh. Is he trying to be funny or what?) "I'm feeling giddy and neaseous. A really bad one."

Just then, my cab was here. I turned and wished him good luck in hunting his food. He said goodbye and I'm off to see a doctor.

Wahaha.. serious.. he's the most weird and cheeky stranger I've ever met. And probably the most "what the hell is that " conversation that I ever had. I figured out he must be really hungry! If I'm not really sick and tired, I might have direct him to the nice curry chicken nearby. =p

Anyway, the doctor diagnose that I might have got an inner ear infection or inflammation causing dizziness. I think she mentioned Vertigo. I did a fast research on Wikipedia. Vertigo is a specific type of dizziness a major symptom of a balance disorder. It is the sensation of spinning or swaying while the body is stationary with respect to the earth or surroundings.

Wait a minute! I know somehow it sounds serious.. but it just a slight infection which would go away in a day or two. So after an injection, and some pills.. It works for me! Now I'm feeling well again. All thanks to the jab on my butt! Hahaha.. =)

But a jab and 2 medicine cost me 45 bucks. Plus the cab fare there.. 48 bucks is gone. Alas, and I can't claim. One just can't fall sick, especially when you are jobless.

So please be healthy, my friends! Take care!

.

insomia

Nope.. it's not my favorite 'Insomia' at Chijmes. I really had a slight insomia tonight!

It's 4.25am in the morning, and I'm here blogging away. Zzzz..

Anyway, while I was tossing in my bed, I suddenly thought of the kids in Chiangmai.. Aw.. I MISSED THEM! It has been close to 5 mths.. yet I still think of them every now and then. Hope they are doing well..

I can't get to sleep, so I'm here trying to install the powerpoint software that my friend had just passed to me. Guess what, he did not pass me the CD key! -_-||| Alas, I would not get to install the software by tonight. I had actually plan to convert the farewell presentation that I did for the kids in Chiangmai to video format and post it here.

Well, no chance. Another day, perhaps!

I think I'm gonna try my luck tossing on my bed again. Goodnight!

*PS. I've just catched 'Indiana Jones' tonight. It's a nice show that worth watching! Recently, I've also catched 'Made of honour' which is not too bad.. and 'The Chronicles of Narnia'...Argh...I still hate it! Don't like the plot at all.. It's still the few kids trying too hard to act mature and heroic... LOL. Just my opinion! =P
