Hey people! I went for my interview today.. well my 1st interview so far ever since I've quitted. Man, and you probably can't believe that I'm actually starting to work tomorrow! -_-
Yesh, immediatley a day after my interview!.. I know that was really rushed for me.. I actually wanted to start work next week but he requested me to start worked the following day since I've already rested for so long... LOL. After hesistating, I've actually agreed! BUT I immediately regretted after that! That is just too fast! I gotta adjust back to my working life so soon! *SOB!
Anyway, my sis has always asked me to go to work soon. Know why? Cause the usually healthy me started falling sick since I've stopped working. First, I've actually failed for the blood test for my 2nd blood donation. My BP reading was too low and my iron was too little. Second, my woman's clock got screwed up (if you get what I mean =p)... Thrid, I got that WEIRD infection at my inner ear, and had my worst dizziness ever! Enough said for all that to happen within a month.
When I've insufficient sleep and work like a mad cow.. I do not see my body protesting in this way!
Besides my body is giving me weird signals to rush me to start working.. My spending habbit has also killed me.
Cause I so wanna go shopping! It's GSS! But I can't.. I know a jobless person is restricted to shop too much... especially people like me should be jailed and not be allowed to step into any boutiques! BUT, Who can resist when you see 'Sales SALES SALES' all over the place?!
So end of the story. I'm starting to work at my new company tomorrow. At a new place, with a new team, with new colleagues and a total foriegn working system and scope of work. Damn, I'm already feeling jittery!
But on a happy note, I'll be getting back my tiny little 'financial freedom' soon. So I'm happy about that. Haha.. =)
Lastly, I hope that this job turns out well with a much much better working hours!

Slaughter's house life - Part 3
Marina Mandarin Hotel
Aqua Marine
My farewell Dinner
24.04.08
Thursday
Yeap! I've finally posting on my farewell dinner! Hehe.. the really wonderful colleagues are throwing me a nice farewell dinner on my last day of work.. *Sobs.. I'm so touched and thankful!
It's at Madrina Madarin, Aqua Marine Restaurant - International Buffet. Wow.. the spread of seafood buffet.. *thumbs up! From tiger prawns to mini lobsters. From fresh oysters to big scallops. Crabs, mussles, la-la.. Woo.. and how could I missed my favorite sashimi?!
I've lost count of how many rounds of sashimi I had. The salmon belly are just so delicious! Ar.. I just couldn't stop eating... plus1/2 a dozen of oysters... 10 over prawns, 1/2 a crab, mussels, scallops, soup, fish, cakes, desserts, fruits.. haha..
I had so much of cold dishes.. that my stomach can't handle it anymore. I knew it. That's because straight after dinner, I'm already running after the toilet! Er.. plus another 3 times when I'm at home. Even after next day when I'm meeting Adam for lunch.. I'm still having the aftermath of over eating! =)
Anyway, I'd strongly recommend you guys to try the restaurant there if you are a seafood lover like me! That time when we went.. they are having promotion of every 2 paxs free 1 pax. And for a better deal, try to go there on a weekday cause that will save another 10 bucks! Well, and how much exactly for 1 pax.. I guess you guys will have to make the call to check. I do not really know as it's a treat from them. =p
And these are the photos that we took that night..
I thank you guys once again for being such wonderful colleagues! The manic nights, the panic moments of rushing deadlines & meetings, the funny times over lunch & dinner and of course, the many ''1st times'' I had in that slaughter's house.. I learnt alot from you guys. And yeap, like what I've always said..
If crazy were people deemed us to be, they gotta be damn right. =)

Tragically, I had to say that many of you had already passed the test with flying colours.. Wahahaha..

Jobless - Part 1
I've been jobless since 25.04.08. And I'm still jobless!
-_-lll
I've always thought that I'd enjoy it when I'm still working. Now that I have rested for ard 2 weeks, I start to feel really uneasy and restless.
With my upcoming Batam's and Melbourne / Sydney's trip.. I really think that I cannot afford to rest too long!
Without income,I realise that I can't spend money like what I used to be. When I see something I like, I can't buy it! That's the worst feeling.. and I hated it!
Haha.. Fine.. I admit that I love the feeling of spending money. Well, only with my own money..=p
That reminds me why I've already started working part time since Poly years. I JUST LOVE THE FEELING OF BEING FINANCIALLY INDEPENDANT. To be able to spend your own money without guilt is great! I don't know if I'm being too abstract here..
Anyway, I'll start my portfolio later in the noon since I've just obtained all the softwares that I need. Hopefully, I'll be able to send out my CV by next week. And I'll see how things goes by then.
Wish me good luck OK?

Pulau Au
07 September 2007 - 09 September 2007
Company's Annual Trip
Open Water Diving Course
About a year later, we went for Open Water Diving Course in Pulau Au. Just in case anyone who is reading this is interested to take up the PADI diving certificate, I'd recommend you to take a Open Water Diving course DIRECTLY. That would allows you to dive 30m deep limit, and you can dive without a professional diver's companion. Compared to that 1/2 a cert that I took a year ago... It was really a waste of time! Because even with ''scuba diver certification'', you'd still have to go through the theory, pool and open water dive test ALL OVER AGAIN.

It was freezing cold in the morning. I think it's around 5 plus 6am. We had our nap in this boat. I remember vividly that I use my luggage as pillow, and we were packed like sardines sleeping on wooden platform (something like bunkbed, but without matress). Haha.. Of course besides my colleagues, we are also sharing with some other divers we are going to the small island.

This is the ''resort'' we stayed in. There's no electrical supply in the day. No TV, no radio, no lights, no fans and of course no water heater for shower. Only until 7pm, there would be electrical supply. And er.. we only stayed there for 2 nights, but I actually bath in total darkness twice in the bathroom. Simply because halfway through my shower, the electrical supply would trip... and yeah, it doesn't help that the shower cubicle has no window at all. LOL. What an experience!

The room was simple with a bunk bed, and a vanity mirror besides the bed. A small bathroom with no windows. That's basically all.

We dive on the actual day when we arrived. Before lunch, we went for our 1st dive.

We'd need to take a small speed boat from our resort to the big boat where all our equipments are located at. The coast water is too shallow for any boats to come near.

Saw the white boat ahead? That is the boat with all our diving equipments. This boat will bring us to the diving site.

Before we reached our diving site, we'd need to assemble and check that all our equipments are in order. Yeap, that's me and my diving buddy -- checking on our BCD.

We are wearing the weight belt that enables us to sink... Yeap, do not be suprised! We need that extra 3 weights to make us SINK. Especially for beginners who would tend to get excited in the water, we would usually need more weights. Breathing too fast will makes us float like a ballon. And of course, given that all human beings are naturally bouyant..

All dressed and ready to dive!

This is what we called the ''giant step'' to the sea. If you do not want to be hit by the boat when you jumped, this giant step is definately important...

Some shots from the underwater. Corals..

Someting like a sea slug.. O.. I've also touched the live sea cucumber! It's looks a pile of black shit from far. LOL. My 1st time touching it. It's long and coils like a snake. It feels soft and rubbery. Like a air rubber ballon? Anyway.. for some reasons, our male colleagues get really excited when they get to touch it! -_-lll *yeah man, the lame old shit. I'm definately impressed by guys' wild imagination! Haha..
He also brings us to a bed of sea anemone with clown fishes swimming in between it.. WOW.. just like ''finding Nemo''! The anemone feels slightly sticky when touched. I guess this is what that is protecting the clown fish from the other fishes.

At lot of my friends asked me how it feels when you dived. Well, I'd had describe it as weightless. =) Despite the heavy tank we carried, we are all literally floating around in the water. When you submerged in the deep blue sea, you can hardly hear a sound, except the breathing sound of yourself and the divers around you. And o.. you can't really tell who is who, cause everyone looks the same!

Our coach and us.. He's holding on to a yellow warning flag. It's to be let go and let it float on the sea before we ascend. The flag mainly serve 2 purposes.. 1st, is to warn oncoming boat to stay clear from that zone, as DIVERS BELOW ARE ASCENDING. 2nd, is to give signals to our boat, so that it'd come and fetch us.. To save us from all the swimming.

Ready to ascend.. Can tell which one is me?

We had to hold on to this string so that we won't be pushed away by the currents.

This is the toughest part for me. When you are from weightless (in the sea) and to endure the sudden change of weight from your back when you are climbing up the ladder.. and it increases with every step that you take.. lol. I'd not have make it if there's no helpers on boat pulling me up!

Our favourite spot after diving. The deck.

We also had our dive de-brief from our coach here.

Only 4 of us from the ID team went for the dive. Look at the sunset behind us. It's beautiful! =) I loove to admire the sky since I'm a kid.

To complete this certification, everyone will needs to complete 4 dives. And this is the 5th, our graduation dive. Where is our wet suit? We weren't wearing any.. as this is what we called, skin diving! It really caught me by shock then.. diving in my bikini and shorts definately makes me feels so insecure!

Overall, this diving trip is definately alot more fun than the Phuket trip. With more corals to see and harmless sea creatures to see and feel.. I totally enjoy this diving trip. And of course from the previous bad puking experiences, I knew that sleeping through the journey can curb sea sickness. You might want to try next time if you are feeling unwell on boat. Just pop a sea sickness pill (it'll cause slight drowsiness), lie down and sleep. Before you know, you'd be ready to dive feeling fresh!
And some nice photos of the sky!

Beautiful.. huh?

Our last dinner at Pulau Au is fabulous. All the BBQ seafood are done by the people there. SO SO DELICIOUS. What can be better to eat when you are on a island? It has got to be seafood!

My cute diving buddy. Can you imagine that she is actually scared of fishes! HAha.. how brave she is to go diving! Haha.. and she really grabs my hand hard when she's nervous.. Thanks anyway for being a nice colleague and diving buddy. =)

Orh.. this is the 'fishes' game.

My only sovenier from the trip. Same as last diving trip.. Abrasions, cuts and blue blacks! This is what happen when you need to practise your skill at a kneeling position on rough sea bed. With ocassional dead corals sticking out from the sea bed. Ouch.. and it doesn't help at all when our wet suit is only at knee lenghth. So please invest in a full wet suit if you'd to buy one. =p
I MISS DIVING! Anyone has the urge to dive too? I'd love to go diving again if I find a companion. So my dear friends.. someone please go and take up the course!
Naumi Hotel Opening
Seah street
11 September 2007
It's the opening of Naumi's hotel. A project that I've being following up for 1/2 a year. And finally, after alot of late nights and hard work.. The long awaited new boutique hotel along Seah Street is operating.

The facade.

The facade during the night.

Me and the very nice client's representative. I like this signage. The signage specialist did a good job on this.

The lobby concierge with the feature laser cut screen backdrop. The led uplighters enables the screen colour to change constantly throughout the night.

Close up of the laser cut screen.

The roof deck pool. It's got astonishing view from here. It overlooks to the infinity swimming pool and then to the city. How cool it is to hold party here! There's also a bar at the back.
I've try to post minimum photos here and all are taken by my own camera. I do not want to infringe the copyright issues! Anyway, please drop by and have a look when you are near to this hotel, it's pretty interesting.
Oosh
Dempsy Road
11 January 2008
It's not my 1st time here to Dempsy, but it's my first time here to Oosh. It's a huge area for dining and drinking. Hip and cool. Nice interior and outdoor spaces. It's a nice place to chill except that the price is quite expensive here. I'd have recommend Wine Company for more affordable wines.

Company's new year dinner
That night, I didn't even drank a sip of alcoholic drink. It's considered a miricale after my years of staying in this company. Everytime after our company's dinner, there would be a drinking session followed straight after that. That would means alot of boozes and shots. -_-lll NIGHTMARE. Lol. Anyway, this time we didn't head on to pub after dinner.. as, all the people are already drinking crazily with the beers.
And if you had ever wonder.. drinking beers are already considered mild.
I didn't take any beers. I'll get bad hangovers with just a small quantity of beer. So I just eat like a pig and watch ''movie'' that night.. Haha, when everyone is busy toasting our boss, I decided I shall not leave the food to waste!

The power ladies toasting to the boss. Haha.. Quite a scary scene!

He's not there yet! Haha.. I know that he can drink like a fish.. Well, sometimes pretending can save you from becoming a drunken. =p

Anyway, after the dinner, we went to Shushen's house to play majong. The guys played all the way till the morning.. zzZZzz..

Yes, no priority or shortcut AT ALL. So that certification is really quite useless in my opinion. Anyway, this trip to Pulau Au is a full time diving trip. Meaning we dive all day long. Only during the night, we will retire early for the next morning early dive. There's night dive at Pulau Au too. You'd need to have an Advanced Open Water Dive Certification to qualify.
It was freezing cold in the morning. I think it's around 5 plus 6am. We had our nap in this boat. The food in New york New york is fresh and good. I'd recommend my friends to go. Plus the staffs are friendly. No wonder there's always queue outside the restaurant!
That's it for this post! Haha.. more to come.. =p
